Garda Trentino is an unmissable destination, offering a wealth of experiences. From adventures and walks to relaxation and the chance to taste the region's renowned cuisine, there's something for everyone. And that's not all – you can also explore the city's streets and alleys, taking in the stunning views of Lake Garda's northern shore. You will find:
All perfect locations to visit all year round. Let's see together what are the main activities and points of interest in the Trentino area of Lake Garda, a place that is worth telling about.
Only the northern part of Lake Garda belongs to the province of Trento. Lake Garda is the largest Italian lake, covering an area of 370 square kilometres
The northern part has a long and narrow conformation and according to the opinion of many, it is the most evocative area of Lake Garda. Therefore, the Garda Trentino tourist center is located in the north-western corner of Lake Garda.
Lake Garda is a highly sought-after tourist destination, particularly among families and those who enjoy a variety of activities, including sports, fun, gastronomy, relaxation, and wellness.
The lake offers a range of recreational opportunities, including sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, and free climbing on the rocky shores.
It is a city village with a panoramic lift that climbs the rock on the lake. The city is full of events and the shores of the lake become the main venue for bicycle tours and food and wine events, as well as aperitifs and meetings between people.
If you love visiting small villages and taking souvenir photos, then don't miss these two little jewels. Torbole Sul Garda is small and picturesque, perfect for those who love the combination of nature and small lively towns in which to practice water sports. Here there is also the port with the Vecchia Dogana while Casa Beust is certainly the most fascinating corner of Torbole Sul Garda and an excellent starting point for dream boat trips.
Nago is instead the seat of a suggestive castle, Castel Penedes, a panoramic point on the surrounding vineyards.
Arco is undoubtedly the most notable point of interest. The location is situated on a hilltop, with the historic castle overlooking the surrounding area and other buildings that surround the hill. The town's distinctive atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of tall cypresses and picturesque buildings, complemented by a variety of dining options, including restaurants, wine bars, and ice cream parlours, which can be found in the streets and squares of Arco.
Furthermore, the Valle di Ledro, situated between Lake Garda and the Valle del Chiese, is a location that should not be missed. It comprises thirteen villages, surrounded by meadows and woods or situated on the shores of Lake Ledro, as well as the beautiful town of Drena. This mountain village has a prehistoric origin and has been shaped by influences from the Roman and medieval periods.
