Caorle is a very pleasant and relaxing tourist destination for families and couples, but also for singles who want to take a trip out of the city or enjoy the high Adriatic Sea from an absolutely privileged point of view. But there are many other features that make this place really interesting, let's discover them together.

What to see in Caorle

The main attractions of Caorle are undoubtedly the two beaches that develop to the east and west. Caorle can be reached in less than an hour from Venice and is full of opportunities for fun. The historical center of Caorle is truly unexpected: characterized by houses with colored facades that recall those of the lagoon islands such as Burano or Torcello.

At the port of Santa Margherita, the fish market is still held today, which contributes to enriching this seaside resort with charm. Remaining on the Scogliera Viva seafront, you can admire very particular statues. The streets of the historic center are reminiscent of the calli of nearby Venice, in the town you can admire the Duomo with a beautiful bell tower that overlooks Piazza Vescovado. The Cathedral is the oldest building, which dates back to 1038, important for the city, and is dedicated to Saint Stephen the Protomartyr. Inside the historic center, you can visit the Archaeological Museum of Sea Archeology and make a very particular exploration of the seabed.

The Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Angelo or the Church of the Madonnina, located on the seafront, is also worth a visit. In Caorle, there is also space for nature lovers, who can visit with trips to Ca'Corniani, a picturesque rural village where there are numerous farms. Also near Caorle is the naturalistic oasis of Valle Vecchia, located in the hinterland of Caorle, beyond the mouth of the lagoon, ideal for those who love wild nature.

The main beaches of Caorle are those of Levante and Ponente, long beaches of golden and well-kept sand. There are many bathing establishments but also very well-maintained free beaches.
